A friend of mine posted about making a decision in her life. So, it got me thinking about my life and decisions I've made to get where I am today. The first major decision was Kyrsten. Of course, I didn't plan to get pregnant at 17, end of my Junior year of high school. But, it was still my decision to have her, abort her, or give her up for adoption. My mind never really considered the other options. She was my baby and I would do whatever I needed to in order to give her a good life.
It wasn't the easiset thing in the world - having a baby the middle of my senior year. But, if it meant that I wouldn't have had Kyrsten, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
A good job? I worried about this a lot raising her. Was I doing a good job raising her? Was I teaching her the right things? It wasn't until recently that I really gave myself credit for raising her to be an awesome person.
But, I always worrid because I had to put her in daycare and I had my parents keep her a lot so I could go out and go on business trips. But, all of that stuff helped ME grow so that I was able to give Kyrsten a good life and give her a good role model. I got to travel to Germany for 3 weeks straight the first time I went there. I hated being away from Kyrsten. But, 2 years later, I got the chance to take her to Germany with me. It was amazing to give her that opportunity and experience!
Kids learn from their parents. Whether they are stay at home moms or the are traveling business moms. Either way, that child just needs love. Because they are growing from the decions we, as parents, make in life. For them... And for us.

engaged
1 year ago Mike proposed to me at Mohican State Park. He had told me late afternoon that he wanted to take me somewhere and talk that night. And he proposed. I was pregnant at the time but we had not told anyone except Kyrsten. It was one of the happiest days in my life. We love each other so much and are perfect for each other. I'm glad that we found each other. We have an awesome relationship and family.

Wedding Planning - just starting
So far, we have the date (9-4-10), the DJ, and hopefully after Monday, we'll have the location. And, we are pretty sure that we're going to use Calais for our photographer. Unless someone books him before us.
Maybe next weekend, I'll go dress LOOKING... I just need to know what style I want. And, then I'm hoping to find a great sale at some point in the next year and find an awesome dress there.
I realized something the other day. Not only do I have to buy MY dress and Mike has to get HIS tux, but we also have to buy dresses for Kyrsten and Payton and get Dylan a tux!!
Now, all we have to do is win the lottery to pay for it all!! :)

Taking time out...
Okay, so I've been thinking about starting a blog and so I finally had the time to do it today! I'm not sure how often I'll be posting things, but I figure a little is better than none. I can't even seem to keep caught up on my home email anymore. My days are starting to fly by. Get up and get ready for work. Feed Payton. Go to work. Come home from work. Feed Payton. Make dinner. Wash bottles. Eat dinner. Clean up. Usually do some laundry. Attempt to watch some TV. Feed Payton. Time for bed!
It's been nice this summer with Kyrsten home during the day. She has been a huge help with chores. And, I don't think that she minds SO much anymore seeing that she's getting a set amount for allowance now. But, school starts at the end of this month...
Today was a good day. The only bad thing was that I had to get up at 6:30 this morning. Owell, it was worth it. Mike and I took Payton to get her 3 month pictures taken at Calais. I took about 7 outfits... she wore 1 outfit and then just her diaper. So much for all that ironing. :) She did great!! She smiled alot and then wore herself out and went to sleep in one of the poses. Then, he got some more pictures of her sleeping. I know I'm going to want every one of those pictures!
